About Us

The Healthcare Foundation of Highland Park is an independent 501 (c)(3) charitable organization that was established when Highland Park Hospital merged with Evanston Hospital in 1991. At the time of the merger, funds were set aside with the mandate that they would be reinvested in the community to benefit the health and well-being of our local residents.

Our mission

The mission of the Foundation is simple – it was founded to support healthcare in the geographic area served by Highland Park Hospital.

To avoid duplication of services and increase the potential impact of the HFHP, we encourage grant recipients to work together to maximize their goals and not duplicate services.
